In a society where we are bombarded with so many mixed messages about what we should eat, what is good for us and what isn't, if there is one inexplicable truth, it is that facts are facts. We are really proud of how we source and prepare our food, so we wanted to share a few facts with you.

Our Food Is Actually Fresh. Fact.

A lot of supermarket produce labelled as ‘fresh’ has actually been industrially or chemically altered, and frozen for months, and in some cases, even years, depleting the nutrient content. For example, that bag of lettuce you bought this morning may well have been treated with a chlorine-based compound to prolong its shelf life, and stored for a month before it is even bagged and shipped to supermarkets. We source all our fruit and veg seasonally, from family-run business 2Serve, who offer the best and freshest produce that the market has to offer. We're confident in the fact our fruit and veg arrives to us 1 day from harvest.

Our Food Will Make You Feel Amazing. Fact.

We believe that the food we eat can have a powerful effect on our health. This is why our focus is on creating nutritious, wholesome food using good quality, seasonal ingredients cooked from scratch daily in our kitchen. We know where all our ingredients come from and we know how to cook them to get the most out of them, both in terms of flavour and nutrients. Our aim is to make sure that after eating our food, you will feel satisfied, nourished and energised.

We Make Eating Healthier Easier. Fact.

When we spoke to some of our deli regulars for a feature in our newspaper, one of the most frequent answers to the question ‘What do you like about us?’ was the ease and comfort that came from knowing that whatever they chose from the menu, it would be healthy and nutritious. That they don’t have to worry about hidden nasties with us. This is also true for our delivery customers, for whom we take away the stress of planning, shopping and cooking healthy meals, by delivering these straight to their door each morning.

Healthy Food Is Boring. NOT A Fact!

Curveball. No, healthy food is most definitely not boring! I created Detox Kitchen with one mission, to get more people eating and enjoying healthy food. I wanted people to eat our food and feel amazing afterwards, but I also wanted them to be surprised by how tasty it was. We make food that above anything else, tastes seriously great. The reason we can do this is because we cook everything from scratch, using whole ingredients. Detoxing with us is not a diet, it’s a lifestyle, and it’s one that is warm, and abundant and gloriously enjoyable.
